Hi Friends! I never do this but I just feel so sad about our world right now and want to do something about it.

Through COVID-19, I’ve learned that there are nearly 369 million children across 143 countries who normally rely on school meals for a reliable source of daily nutrition that now are forced to look elsewhere. Furthermore, due to the economic fall out of business closures/staying-home, The United Nations is estimating 42 - 66 million children could fall into extreme poverty, adding to the estimated 386 million children already in extreme poverty in 2019. The UN suggests this could result in hundreds of thousands of additional child deaths in 2020. 

I know we’re staying home to keep a different population safe and they are really important too. So I’m feeling confused and upset because we’re doomed if we do stay home or doomed if we don’t.

The only remedy I see is if we continue to help the vulnerable children through this unpredictable time. So I’m donating to Feed the Children, a non-profit that has been extremely busy providing meals/necessities (think soap) to children around the world - if you are able, please join me!
